Greenhouse Gas Protocol

In 2022, we completed our first greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory for the years 2019-2021. The inventory followed requirements defined by the World Resources Institute’s Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the most widely used and respected international standard for measuring, managing, and reporting GHG emissions.

With a clear understanding of our emissions, we can build on our already strong position to help us focus our reduction efforts, improve management of our facilities, and seek opportunities to mitigate the risks climate change presents to our customers, our financial partners, and to our people.

What are GHG emissions scopes?

Scope 1: direct emissions from owned or controlled sources
Scope 2: indirect emissions from the generation of purchased energy, steam, heat or cooling
Scope 3: all indirect emissions (not included in scope 2) that occur in the value chain, upstream and downstream
