How to protect your personal and business account information from fraud scams.

There has been a recent uptick in attempts by scammers and fraudsters to obtain customer account information. Often during a bank conversion attackers seize it as an opportunity to strike. We ask you to be on the lookout for scam attempts by email, text and phone to trick you into giving them your personal information. Fraudsters may try to steal your passwords, account numbers, or Social Security numbers. If they get that information, they could gain access to your email, bank, or other accounts. We ask you to be vigilant and protect your account information.

Examples:

  • Claim there is a problem with your account information or attempts to login
  • Ask you to confirm personal or account information
  • Ask you to click on a link to confirm information

We want to remind you that we will never call you in advance of a fraud transaction alert. We will also not ask you to provide your debit card number, your PIN or your online banking user ID or password over the phone. If you receive a call or a text message appearing to be from Cambridge Trust, but are unsure if it truly is us, please feel free to end the call and contact our Client Resource Center Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:30 pm at (617) 441-1444 or 844-251-0099.
