Kathy Aguiar is Senior Vice President and Risk Director for Cambridge Trust. In this role, Kathy leads the Risk and Compliance programs for Wealth Management and Trust activities. Kathy joined Cambridge Trust in 2026 after serving as Acting Deputy Director at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), along with other management roles, for over 10 years. Prior to FDIC, she worked in large bank supervision and regulation for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Kathy started her career at Brown Brothers Harriman and has also worked for Acadian Asset Management in Boston.

Kathy is a CFA Charterholder and earned her M.Sc. in Finance from the Smurfit School of Business in Blackrock, Ireland. Kathy received her B.S. degree from Salve Regina University in Newport Rhode Island.
