Direct Deposit:

Electronic posting of your pay directly to your checking or savings account from your employer rather than issuing you a paper check. Establishing direct deposit of your paycheck requires you to go through your employer who will have the paperwork needed to commence the electronic credit. You may be asked to provide a voided check to commence the credit into the checking account.

Wire Transfer:

Wire transfer is a method of electronically transferring money from one bank to another. Each bank is identified with an ABA (American Banking Association) number or a SWIFT code for international banks. Cambridge Trust Company's ABA number is 011-300-595 and address is 1336 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02138. If you plan to receive wire transfers from an International Bank, please contact us for detailed instructions.

Online Banking:

Online Banking uses today's technology to give you the ability to instantly access your account information and control your finances, whenever you want and wherever you happen to be - securely. Online Banking has multiple levels of security and utilizes state-of-the-art, 128-bit encryption technology, so everything you enter is transmitted in a completely secure manner. W-8 and W-9 Status:

At the time you open your account with Cambridge Trust Company we can assist you in determining if a W-8 or W-9 form is right for you. These tax forms are used to identify your tax status and type of residency in the US and are used for tax-withholding purposes. Form W-8 is used if you are eligible to claim an exception from certain types of income tax withholding. W-9 status is used for U.S. persons (including Resident Aliens) to provide your correct Tax Identification Number (TIN) to the requestor.

Mortgage:

Cambridge Trust Company has a partnership with Elan Financial Services to offer a Visa Credit Card bearing the Cambridge Trust Company name. A valid Social Security number is required for a credit card application.
